BASIC BOTULINUM TOXIN & DERMAL FILLER TRAINING

Our focus in training is for medical doctors and dentists. The basic botulinum toxin & dermal filler course forms the backbone of our training offering.
Our course distinguishes itself by its focus on doctors DOING the treatments. It also aims to position toxin and filler work in the bigger medical aesthetic picture. Together with our basic thread lifting and skincare overview course, it forms the foundation of every doctor’s transition into this exciting new discipline.
It has also been proven that it is to your advantage to do a BASIC course first, treat some patients on your own afterwards and only then attend ADVANCED courses. Dr Chris Giezing is the training director of Medskills and widely recognised aesthetic and anti-ageing practitioner with many years of experience.
Dentists: Although many dentists are currently practicing full-face aesthetics and have been doing so for many years, the HPCSA still considers the Scope of Practice for Dentists as limited to the peri-oral area.

- Training Areas:
- Toxin Training areas: Glabellar lines, Crow’s Feet, Forehead lines & Masseter muscle.
- Fillers Training areas: Cheek Volumisation (Mid-Face), Lower Face & Lips.
- All models for injection purposes are first evaluated by trainers in conjunction with new injectors. This allows trainees the opportunity to evaluate a significant amount of patients.
- The training involves: the goal of aesthetic medicine, anatomy, relevant pharmacology, aspects of beauty, injection techniques, hands-on practical training, what is toxin & filler, contra-indication and risks and complications.
