Pretoria: 3 September 2018. Medskills aims to provide quality theoretical and hands-on training to specialist doctors, general practitioners and dentists on aspects relevant to aesthetic and anti-aging medicine.

Medskills offers formal and full-day training in the use of basic neurotoxin injections that target specific muscles to minimise extreme muscle contractions. A small needle is used with a maximum of three injections per muscle. Medskills provides expert training as only doctors and other specialists in the field of medicine may administer these treatments. This is especially important when injecting the overactive, deep muscles of the jaw, neck, or vocal cords.
It is of great importance that accredited medical professionals are trained to inject dermal fillers (or soft-tissue fillers) as they are widely used to improve the appearance of aging skin in various ways, for e.g. filling in wrinkles, fine lines, plumping up cheeks and contouring the jaw line and other areas of the face.
Full-day training academy courses for basic botulinum toxin and dermal fillers will be presented in Pretoria on the following dates: 16 September, 6 October, 3 and 4 November, as well as 2 December.
Medskills also offers some short courses to equip qualified therapists, somatologists, nursing professionals and support staff to serve the patients in the best possible way. Most of the short courses are Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited.
